History: Sixteenth-Century Anabaptism and Mennonite History
Conrad Grebel University College invites applications for a full-time continuing contract faculty position in undergraduate History and graduate Theological Studies at the University of Waterloo, with a teaching and research specialty in sixteenth century Anabaptism and Mennonite History. The appointment will begin July 1, 2011 at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The College will begin reviewing applications on November 15, 2010. Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary is seeking a full-time teaching faculty member in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, to begin July 2011. Responsibilities include teaching Hebrew language and exegesis of the Old Testament; use of several modes of instruction including online; advising students; and contributing through research, worship, and community and constituency assignments. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, passion for the church and the place of biblical studies in the church, and strong communication abilities; teaching experience and international or cross-cultural experience preferred. Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary is seeking a full-time teaching faculty member in preaching and communication with additional competence in another area of practical theology, biblical studies, or theology, to begin July 2011. Responsibilities include teaching; use of several modes of instruction including online; advising students; and contributing through research, worship, and community and constituency assignments. Candidates must have a terminal degree (Ph.D. preferred or D.Min.) in preaching and communication, experience preaching in a variety of contexts, teaching and/or ministerial experience, passion for the church, and strong communication abilities; pastoral, cross-cultural or international ministry experience a plus. Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, a partner in the Associated Canadian Theological Schools (ACTS) in Langley, BC, invites nominations and applications for a temporary part-time position in academic administration that could begin as soon as August 1, 2010. This individual will be responsible for managing the operation of the MBBS office within ACTS, and representing MBBS within the ACTS consortium, during the 2010-2011 school year. The extent of the job is open to negotiation and depending on educational background may include some teaching. Eastern Mennonite University, Department of History, seeks qualified candidates for a full-time faculty member in Political & International Studies/Sociology. Ph.D. required. Teaching experience required. Applicants should be trained in Political or International Studies and will ideally have expertise in some area of sociology in addition to significant international experience. Courses will focus on political studies but may also include sociology, international relations and international and community development, depending on the experience, qualifications and interests of the applicant.
